Apr 21, 2022 · Respectfully, this is not a competitive GPA at all, even for DO schools. Many DO matriculants are averaging in the mid 3.x, depending on the program. Every year it gets more competitive and comparable to MD. Also need a strong MCAT, scores <500 or even in the low 500s are just simply not competitive either. I submitted with a truly meh MCAT (490), an average GPA (cGPA 3.6, sGPA 3.5), but do have over 1000+ hours of patient care experience working as an MA.
